V.Ships India celebrates consecutive award wins for outstanding seafarer services

There have been plenty of reasons for celebration here at V.Group over the past couple of months, particularly for our colleagues at V.Ships India who have won a number of top prizes for their work in seafarer support and management.

Just this week the team was awarded the Samudra Manthan 2018 Award for Best Manning Company of the Year.

At the Indian Seafarers’ Choice Awards in Goa, V.Ships India was also named Best Employer Tanker Fleet (Large Segment) for the second year running, after being nominated by its own crew. The award was V.Group’s second win of the night, with Selandia Crew Management picking up the prize for Best Crewing Team.

Back in September, V.Ships India was presented with the Best Seafarers Welfare Ship Management Award by the Indian Seafarers Welfare Organization (ISWOT), in recognition of its dedicated management and welfare initiatives.

Captain Vaibhav Dalvi, Director of Crewing Operations for V.Ships India, who collected both awards on behalf of the company, commented:

“As a people company, we are committed to investing in all of our staff, both onshore and offshore. That’s why these awards are so meaningful to us as they represent the time and support we dedicate to our seafarers, to help them succeed in their careers and flourish as individuals.

“What makes these moments even more special is that they come straight from the seafarer, be that as a direct vote or as feedback given to the judges.

“Our success over these past few months clearly shows that we are growing significantly and continue to win for both our clients and seafarers, driven by our values and our passion to deliver great service.”

The awards coincide with the launch of V.Group’s Project Embark, a new programme designed to transform the way that we, as the leading supplier of independent ship management and related marine services handles crewing for our network of 44,000 seafarers.
