V.Group wins Safety4Sea Dry Bulk Operator Award
V.Group is immensely proud to have received the 2020 SAFETY4SEA Dry Bulk Operator Award!
Reducing emissions is a key challenge for the industry as a whole and V.Group is at the forefront of this challenge. The Group has integrated energy saving measures and has set ambitious targets for the reduction of GHG emissions including zero emission vessels by 2030. In 2019, a Sustainability Committee was formed with the aim of reducing harmful emissions, eliminating single use plastics and enhancing environmental awareness. The company is also committed to training of staff to raise awareness of their environmental responsibilities.
Receiving the award on V.Group’s behalf, Mike Bradshaw, Global Head of HSEQ, commented: “We are delighted to accept this recognition for ensuring all of our operations are aligned with our long term sustainability strategy. As we continue to 2020 and 2021, we are committed to further improving our environmental practices through training, in order to fully embed our culture of shared responsibility in protecting the environment”.
