It is important that we do not lose sight of the impact our industry has on the environment and our obligation to continually seek solutions to improve it.
While maintaining commercial success is critical, we believe the issues of climate change and sustainability must remain high on the agenda as we look to continue to grow and offer the best service possible to our partners. Being open and honest about our ESG metrics is the first step in helping us progress toward positive change while allowing business partners to make informed decisions about working with us.
Our latest ESG reports provide transparency about our operations to clearly articulate our targets, and progress toward more sustainable operations. The reports informed the long-term sustainability strategy which makes strong commitments and sets ambitious targets across the Group.

The shipping industry is in the middle of a transition it can’t opt out of. Tightening regulation (EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, the IMO’s 2023 GHG strategy), rising customer expectations on transparency and real geopolitical uncertainty are all reshaping what “responsible ship management” mean in practice.
Our view, set out by our CEO René Kofod-Olsen in this year’s report, is simple: the maritime sector’s future will be defined by performance, transparency and trust, and we’d rather help shape that future than wait for it to arrive.
That starts with safety. It’s the one part of our operation that isn’t up for debate, whatever else is changing around us.
