Simplicity on the go – V.Travel launches new all-in-one travel app
V.Travel has launched a new all-in-one mobile app to help V.Group colleagues and customers effectively manage their travels on the go.
The app, which is available to download on both Google Play and the Apple App Store, gives users access to a full spectrum of travel-related information, allowing them to effectively plan their business trip or holiday from start to finish. The app allows users to manage every aspect of their trip, including online check-in and journey planning, and provides real-time flight alerts and itinerary updates.
Users can also make full use of the app’s built-in discovery function, which provides a full list of personalised recommendations of places to go based on a user’s current location.
John Harding, Managing Director of V.Travel, commented:
“We wanted to create an app tailored-made to the needs of our customers and colleagues; something that enriches the travel experience and enables them to concentrate on what’s important.
“In the past, planning business trips and holidays has often been a stressful and time-consuming experience, mainly due to the amount of manual work involved. Our app streamlines the process and gives our users access to the information they need, when they need it.
“Since its launch, we have had really positive feedback from users who appreciate the real-time data it provides, such as local information with links and maps, or the ability to store your frequent flyer numbers in a central location.
Any traveller, whether they work for V.Group or not, can use the app. V.Travel is collaborating closely with all parts of the Group to ensure the app integrates with its existing systems.
The V.Travel team are now planning for the launch of a ‘duty of care’ offering for all travellers.
“We are working with a company who will track travellers, issue travel alerts before and during trips, and advise on strike action or airport delays. The service will include sending texts to stranded travellers to offer assistance,” Harding continued.
The V.Travel app is available to download now from both Google Play and Apple App Store.
