As part of our ongoing efforts to combat the ever-growing cyber threat, V.Group has been awarded ‘Cyber Essentials Plus’ accreditation by the UK government.
V.Group has been awarded the accreditation and follows the successful award of ‘Cyber Essentials’ to V.Ships UK and SeaTec earlier last month (April).
The award of ‘Cyber Essentials Plus’ follows direct testing by the accreditation body and demonstrates a higher level of security processes and practice. The accreditation is a key requirements for all organisations wishing to bid for UK government contracts.
Cyber Essentials is a simple but effective, government backed scheme that will help protect organisations, whatever their size, against a whole range of the most common cyber-attacks.
“I’m now pleased to say that we have gone through the more advanced security testing to achieve ‘Cyber Essentials Plus’ accreditation for the following organisations: V.Group Ltd, V.Ships UK Ltd, Seatec UK ltd, Global Marine Travel and Oceanic Catering”.
“By meeting the more demanding requirements of the Cyber Essentials Plus award, we not only open up commercial ventures within UK government, but, importantly, we demonstrate to our clients and customers a serious commitment to maintaining high levels of cyber safety”, said Walter Wilson, V.Group Information Security Manager.
