Earlier today (13 June), International Tanker Management (ITM), managers of the Front Altair, reported that the crew were forced to abandon ship following an explosion on board the vessel.
Our primary concern is of course our seafarers and we are pleased to report that all 23 disembarked safely from the vessel unharmed. We are currently in the process of contacting all families of the seafarers.
Managers are working on plans to salvage the vessel.
