V.Group’s Marine Services is led by a team of experienced leaders who are experts in their field and across the shipping industry. The team works closely with colleagues in Ship Management and Crew Management teams to deliver flawless service to V.Group customers anywhere in the world.
Chief Executive Officer, Marine Services
Prior to joining V.Group, Elliot worked for professional services firm, Arthur Andersen. Former roles in V.Group have included Financial Director for V.Ships, Chief Operating Officer V.Ships, Chief Executive Officer of V.Group’s ship supply chain, and Chief Operating Officer V.Group. Elliot has a BA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Strathclyde and is a Chartered Accountant, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Chief Commercial Officer, Marine Services & Managing Director, SeaTec
After joining V.Group in 2007, Alessandro held overall responsibility for the offshore marine operations and crew management businesses as Director of V.Ships Offshore. In recent years, Alessandro was instrumental in creating offshore centres of excellence for V.Group across the globe, with the formation of specialised cells catering for particular asset types which meet regional content requirements and provide logistics support. In early 2020, Alessandro was appointed Chief Commercial Officer for V.Group’s Marine Services. In May of that year, he took on the interim role of Managing Director for SeaTec, responsible for all service lines including Projects & New Builds; Inspections, Repairs and Maintenance – including Navigation & Communication and Condition Monitoring – and Subsea operations. A graduate in engineering, mechanical engineering and management, Alessandro has held various management positions at Saipem and Single Buoy Moorings. Alessandro is based in Monaco.
Managing Director, GMT
After growing up in Fiji, Tim Davey finished off his studies in Auckland New Zealand before starting out his hospitality career as a chef at the Regent in Auckland. From there, Tim launched an international career in travel and tourism including 9 years at sea with Cunard Line before returning to land to start Global Marine Travel.
Managing Director, Oceanic
Kyriakos joined Oceanic Catering in December 2002. As Managing Director, he is responsible for all of Oceanic’s service lines that include amongst others, Catering for Merchant Fleets, Catering & Housekeeping on Offshore Projects, Consultancy & Hospitality Management on Cruise vessels, Hospitality & Culinary Training Services. Kyriakos holds an undergraduate degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the City University of New York and an MBA in International Finance from St. John’s University, New York. Prior to joining Oceanic Catering, Kyriakos held a number of positions aboard cruise vessels and at shoreside catering operations. Kyriakos is based in Limassol, but he is constantly on the road visiting clients and the Oceanic offices across the globe.
Managing Director, Training Services
Sartaj has over 25 years of Maritime experience including sailing onboard various vessel types within A.P Moller – Maersk Group prior making a transition into their shore organization in Singapore. Since then Sartaj has held a variety of leadership roles encompassing Ship Management, Shared Services, NB Projects, Commercial Post fixture and Learning and Development in countries like India, Philippines, Japan and Singapore. As MD, Training Services, Sartaj is leading a very capable team globally with focus on Competence Development of our Sea based colleagues. Sartaj holds an Executive MBA from the University of Birmingham.
Managing Director, V.Scope
John began his marine insurance career in 2004, and with more than 10 years industry experience was promoted to role of Managing Director in 2017. He has overall responsibility for ensuring our high quality service delivery and development our business strategy. He has obtained a number of industry qualification, including post-graduate diplomas in Marine Insurance and Maritime Law. In addition to marine insurance, John offers V.Scope clients knowledge of many general insurance products such as Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers as well as more specialist products such as Cyber Risk Liability. He is also the principal contact for Claims Solutions.
Managing Director, Marcas
Having joined Marcas in 2018 as Global Strategic Director, Ray was named as Managing Director in November 2019. Ray has over 20 years procurement and supply chain experience, holding senior roles in organisations specialising in Third Party Purchasing and Procurement Outsourcing. Based in Monaco, Ray regularly travels to V.Ships, Members and Suppliers’ offices.
Director of Finance Operations
Amelie joined V. Group in 2012 and is currently Finance Director for Marine Services – she was appointed in this role in 2016 after she gained an extensive experience in the group as Finance Manager of Marcas and Supply Chain Divisional controller. In her role, she ensures we deliver sustainable services with clear directions and strategy and is a strong sponsor of our digital agenda. Prior Joining V. Group, Amelie spent 8 years with PwC as financial consultant where she specialised in Treasury and risk management. She is based in Monaco and holds an MBA from ESSEC Paris.
Global Head of HSSEQ, Marine Services
Kirsten is an IOSH and NEBOSH certified HSSEQ Professional with over 25 years experience of developing integrated business management systems and safety/environmental improvement programmes. Prior to joining V.Group in 2014, Kirsten provided HSSEQ leadership in a number of industries including Construction, Industrial Engineering, Subsea Oil & Gas and Manufacturing. As Global Head of HSSEQ for Marine Services, Kirsten’s key focus is to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all while continually improving our processes and systems to deliver the best possible services and products to our customers.
Global Head of HR, Marine Services and Corporate Functions
Diane joined V.Group in 2009 and is currently the Global Head of HR, Marine Services and Corporate Functions. In her role, Diane ensures the delivery of HR strategy and practices; contributing to the achievement of V.Group’s vision and philosophy. Diane has an extensive background in HR, with a particular focus on Employee Relations, having worked closely with business leaders and contributed to People Strategies in her previous roles at HBOS PLC and Diageo PLC. From her time in the banking industry, Diane is a Chartered Banker and is also a member of CIPD. She is based in Glasgow.
