ITM appoints new managing director
INTERNATIONAL TANKER MANAGEMENT (ITM) has announced the appointment of Chris Kirton as managing director of its Dubai office.
Kirton joins ITM, a division of V.Group specialising in the management of oil and chemical tankers, from Norstar Ship Management.
Franck Kayser, CEO of V.Ships, said:
“Chris is a very welcome addition to our team. As a former chief engineer and with over 40 years experience of ship management, gained on various types of vessel, and latterly in senior shore-based roles, he has a lot to bring to our company. He will play a big part in the continued provision of flawless service delivery to our customers.
“Following a comprehensive handover, Chris is now settled in his new office and role, and we wish him every success.
“It would be remiss of me not to acknowledge the significant contribution of Anil Cariappa, our outgoing ITM managing director. Anil has contributed hugely to the success of ITM over the past 23 years and we wish him a well deserved and happy retirement.”
